VDI Hosting · Fully Managed
Managed virtual desktops, built around each of your users.
Give employees personal or pooled virtual desktops with the resources, applications and configurations their roles actually require — designed, secured and supported by CloudNet.
Why VDI
Build different desktops for different employees.
A business with 50 users rarely needs one desktop configuration for everyone. CloudNet designs personal, pooled or hybrid environments — reserving higher-resource desktops for the people who genuinely need them.
Greater desktop isolation
Individual virtual environments for the users who require dedicated, separated desktops.
Dedicated resources
Assign processor, memory or storage to specific users or departments as needed.
Work from anywhere
Users reconnect to the same persistent environment from any supported device.
Delivery models
Personal, pooled, or a hybrid of both.
Personal VDI
A persistent desktop assigned to an individual — the user returns to the exact same environment every time they log in.
- Persistent settings
- Dedicated resources
- Individual app configs
- Greater isolation
- Specialized software
- Custom workflows
Pooled VDI
Standardized desktops served from a centrally managed collection — ideal where any clean desktop will do.
- Temporary workers
- Seasonal employees
- Contractors
- Training environments
- Task-based staff
- Standardized groups
How it's delivered
Log in to your assigned desktop, ready when you are.
Each user connects to a persistent Windows desktop hosted on CloudNet's infrastructure — same environment, same session, from any supported device. Business processing happens inside the hosted environment, not on the local machine.
- Personal or pooled desktops, assigned by role
- Reconnect from Windows, Mac, tablet or laptop
- Dedicated resources where users need them
Pricing
Priced around who actually needs what.
VDI doesn't need to be expensive for every user. CloudNet can combine RDS and VDI so higher-cost individual desktops are reserved for the employees who genuinely require them — controlling your total cost.

Happy customers
What businesses say about CloudNet.
By far the best option for file security, 365 control and the best service support on the planet. They allow us secure access to our documents from all over the world. I would highly recommend CloudNet for any business.
— Bill Taylor, Ishida Canada Inc.The ability to securely access my system from anywhere, exactly as I left it, is incredible. The service, support, and IT savings have been outstanding — it feels like having our own expert team on hand at all times.
— Ron CormierWe have been using CloudNet for five and a half years and are very happy that we no longer have our own server. The CloudNet team keeps us up and running and technical support is excellent.

Questions about VDI hosting
Does VDI give every employee a virtual machine?
Personal VDI can provide an individually assigned virtual machine. Pooled VDI provides desktops from a managed collection instead — and you can mix both in one environment.
Is VDI better than RDS?
Neither is automatically better. RDS is often more efficient for standardized users, while VDI provides greater isolation and customization for users who need it.
Can CloudNet combine RDS and VDI?
Yes. Different employee groups can use different desktop technologies within the same overall solution — often the most cost-effective design.
Can users receive dedicated resources?
Yes. Dedicated or separately allocated compute resources can be provided where required.
Are backups included?
Yes. Managed backups are included according to the selected CloudNet service.
Is technical support included?
Yes. CloudNet technical support for the managed environment is included.
